Sally has been instrumental in nurturing entrepreneurial growth in Atlantic Canada and beyond. She is known to bring an entrepreneurial spark to every project. She has held roles from CEO and COO to program designer and angel investor, leveraging her extensive network to bring together diverse perspectives for meaningful impact in businesses. Through her company, The Triple Effect, she helps to build governance expertise within organizations and builds entrepreneurial programs that help participants thrive. She is passionate about creating unique communities and is the proud new owner of the Unity Community Centre, which is a 42,000 sq. ft. hub for hands-on learning centre for social impact in New Brunswick.
Sally was named Valedictorian for her Institute of Corporate Directors (ICD) Class and continues to serve on boards: Impact Organizations of Nova Scotia (IONS), the Inspirit Foundation, and the Halifax International Airport Authority(HIAA). She brings governance expertise and a commitment to community impact. She is also an executive-in-residence at East Valley Ventures, an angel group focused on technology investments in Atlantic Canada.
Previously, Sally was CEO of the Wallace McCain Institute, where she raised over $1.7M in less than 2 years from philanthropic and government dollars to support entrepreneurs in Atlantic Canada. She’s held numerous senior leadership and board roles Highline Beta, Community Foundations of Canada and other economic development organizations. Through her consulting, she has worked with organizations like Brightspark Ventures, National Angel Capital Organization, and the International Development Bank (IDB). As a former Global Facilitator with Techstars Startup Weekend, she facilitates events worldwide and represented Canada at the 2017 G20 Young Entrepreneurs Summit. She is a former Lieutenant with the Royal Canadian Air Cadet Program and is passionate about working with youth leadership initiatives.
