Jeff Taylor’s practice focuses on mergers and acquisitions, corporate reorganizations, and business transitions. He advises public and private companies, private equity funds, family offices, and management teams on a wide range of transactional matters, including cross-border acquisitions, divestitures, joint ventures, hostile and succession-driven transactions.

Jeff has acted on transactions across a broad range of industries, including mining, energy, industrials, manufacturing, infrastructure, life sciences, consumer and retail, tech, robotics and AI. His recent representative work includes acting for BioLife Solutions in its acquisition of PanTHERA Cryosolutions, Mac Chain Company in connection with its sale to Renold, CapVest in its acquisition of Recochem and follow-on acquisition of KIK Consumer Products, the BDI Group of Companies in connection with its rollup of various businesses, and the management team and employee shareholders of Cando Rail in connection with AIMCO’s acquisition of the Company from TorQuest. He also regularly advises founders and family-owned enterprises on governance matters, strategic exits and complex corporate reorganizations.

Jeff has been recognized by Best Lawyers in Canada, participated in the Lazaridis ScaleUp Program and Creative Destruction Lab, and served as a director of Climbing Escalade Canada, the national sport organization for competition climbing, from 2017 to 2022.
