Dwight Fraser is the founding partner of Franchise Management Inc. (FMI), along with Greg Walton, as well as Fensmarket Inc. and Clearstone Capital. He began his career straight out of high school in 1978 at Zellers, venturing into various entrepreneurial projects. In 1991, FMI opened its first Subway restaurant in Woodstock, New Brunswick, and expanded from there to own over 400 quick-service restaurant locations across North America, employing more than 7,000 people. Under the leadership of both Dwight Fraser and Greg Walton, FMI owns a portfolio of well-known brands including Subway, Pizza Hut, Taco Bell, Panera Bread, Burger King, KFC, Denny’s, and Starbucks.
