Jim Perchaluk

CEO, Parlay Holdings (Sold UnionWare)

Hello, I’m Jim Perchaluk, and I’m thrilled to be a participant on this distinguished panel focused on business growth and transition. With a passion for entrepreneurship and a deep understanding of the intricacies involved, I bring many years of experience in successfully navigating the path from business inception to strategic selling and beyond.

I am a graduate of the University of Manitoba, holding a Masters degree in Computer Science. My entrepreneurial journey began with the founding of UnionWare, a software company that provides mission-critical software and services to large unions across Canada, the United States, and Australia. Guiding UnionWare through years of growth and innovation, I made the strategic decision to sell the company in 2018 to a private equity group based in New York.

My journey isn’t just about business; it’s about family and community. My wife, Heather, and I are proud parents of two grown daughters, Leilah and Isabelle, making our home between Winnipeg and California. My commitment to entrepreneurship and community is evident through my long-standing membership in the Entrepreneurs’ Organization. I’ve had the privilege of serving as the President of the Winnipeg Chapter and as a regional director for Western Canada.

Today, my focus has shifted towards helping companies harness the power of employee profit sharing as a tool to attract, retain, and engage employees while significantly increasing profits. I am excited to share my insights and stories during this event.
