Gaurav is a Director, Growth and Transition Capital at BDC. He draws on years of experience in management and banking to source transactions and evaluate businesses looking for non-dilutive, non-traditional financing.

Before coming to BDC in 2019, Gaurav was a Client Relationship Manager in Scotiabank’s Commercial Banking division. He managed a portfolio of small and medium-sized commercial accounts, including new client acquisition, wealth and cash management, and private banking. Before that, as a Branch Manager, he led two Scotiabank branches to achieve their financial targets for sales, growth and retention. Gaurav has also held a variety of other management, banking and accounting roles throughout his career.

Gaurav is a Certified Financial Planner and a Chartered Financial Analyst. He holds a Master of Finance from Sikkim Manipal University and a diploma in Business, Management, Marketing and Related Support Services from George Brown College.
