David is a Business Lawyer and a Facilitator and is the Head of Pallett Valo’s Family Business Law Group. David has an extensive background in Mergers & Acquisitions and has, for the past two decades, focused his attention on helping Families in Business navigate through transition planning and family dynamic issues in an effort to maximize business value. Through an engaged facilitative process, David works with Family Enterprises to lay the groundwork for policies, governance structures and shareholder arrangements designed to promote best practices, transparency, fairness and ultimately, family harmony.
David received his law degree from U of T and a B.A. in Psychology from York. In addition, David holds a Certificate in Family Business Advising from the internationally recognized Family Firm Institute and a Certificate in Alternative Dispute Resolution from the Faculty of Law, Windsor U. and has presented widely on business transition issues.
