Rod Trujillo

Founder & Partner

Two Styx Capital LLC (Acquired Cinova Medical) (Sold IRP Group, Inc.)

Rod Trujillo is a seasoned entrepreneur and investor with over 27 years of experience in building, scaling, and acquiring businesses across manufacturing, aerospace, medical devices, and real estate.

Rod was the Founder and CEO of IRP Group, Inc. (“IRPG”), a company he started in 1999 by investing his entire personal savings, including retirement accounts. Under his leadership, IRPG completed over 20 mergers and acquisitions and grew into a diversified industrial group with operations in both the U.S. and Asia.

At its peak, IRPG operated seven facilities, including three in China, employing over 500 people abroad and 223 in the U.S. Rod personally made 73 business trips to Asia, solidifying global partnerships and operational infrastructure. IRPG was twice recognized by Inc. 5000 and the Los Angeles Business Journal as one of the fastest-growing companies in the nation. In the five years leading up to its sale in 2021, the company achieved a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 23%, with steady workforce expansion of 25–40 new hires per year. The company was classified as a “Rule of 40” business — a benchmark reserved for high-performing growth companies.

In parallel, Rod co-founded Two Styx Capital LLC (TSC) with longtime business partner Casper Zublin. Initially focused on industrial real estate, TSC has since evolved into a vertically integrated firm that acquires both manufacturing companies and the properties they occupy. The acquired businesses are turned around, grown, and divested, while the real estate remains in TSC’s growing portfolio. Today, TSC owns and manages eleven industrial properties across the U.S.

TSC’s most recent acquisition is Cinova Medical (formerly Flambeau Medical), located in Phoenix, Arizona. The 75,000-square-foot manufacturing campus — spanning three standalone buildings — produces critical-to-function plastic injection molded devices. In just 18 months under TSC’s ownership, the company has grown over 40%. TSC has invested more than $6 million into the site, including a state-of-the-art cleanroom and full campus renovation.

At the heart of Rod’s business philosophy is a deeply held belief: regardless of macroeconomic conditions, every company should be run as a God-honoring business that seeks to bless everyone it encounters, following the teachings and principles of Jesus of Nazareth.

Outside of business, Rod is a devoted husband to his high school sweetheart, Keri, and a proud father to his daughters, Lexi and Taylor.
