Josh Remai grew up immersed in the construction industry. He started sweeping floors on his father’s construction sites in the 80s, and today, he is the sole owner of Span West Building Corporation, having taken over the helm when his father, Joe Remai, retired.

Span West specializes in multi-unit condominiums, and under Josh’s leadership, the company has expanded throughout Western Canada, with developments in Saskatchewan, Alberta and British Columbia.

In his spare time, Josh volunteers in his community. He’s been active on the board of his community association for six years, and served as vice president of the board for two years. He still serves on the board today, leading a group of volunteers who maintain two local skating rinks.

Josh enjoys travelling and spending time with family and friends. As an avid sailor, he’s captained a catamaran in the British Virgin Islands, and helped deliver sailboats from Bermuda to St. Martin and from Panama to the Cayman Islands. He’s always planning his next sailing trip—whether it’s for leisure or a course to hone his skills.
