Throughout her 28-year career at BDC, Brenda has successfully funded the growth of companies in tech, oil and gas, and manufacturing sectors by providing subordinated debt, mezzanine financing, equity investment and commercial debt financing.

Brenda led the creation of BDC’s regional technology team in the Prairies and Western Canada over 8 years ago. She also co-founded the Alberta Female Founder, Funder and Fortifier breakfast series on behalf of BDC.  She is proud to see how this group has evolved and has events that draw over 100 attendees regularly.  She considers herself the go-to person or concierge at BDC as her longevity and various roles has helped her establish an extensive internal network within the organization.
