Kevin Fraser is a Partner in the Transactions practice of Grant Thornton based in Halifax, N.S and plays a significant leadership role in the practice for the Atlantic region. Kevin has spent the majority of his 23-year career providing financial advisory services to clients in the areas of public accounting, commercial banking and corporate finance. He is instrumental in the firm’s Atlantic Canadian mergers and acquisitions practice with expertise in such areas as debt advisory, capital structuring, investment analysis, transaction advisory, financial modelling, balance sheet restructuring and negotiation support.
Kevin has led or been involved in numerous financing, transaction and due diligence advisory assignments, in particular over the past 15 years, across a number of industry sectors including automotive, manufacturing, wholesale, distribution, agriculture, telecommunications, transportation, real estate, fisheries, university, healthcare and retail. Kevin has led over $800 million in corporate financing transactions ranging in size from $2 million through $150 million. Kevin focuses primarily on mid to large size private enterprise clients in Atlantic Canada, having worked with many of the region’s largest family owned enterprises in various capacities.
Prior to joining Grant Thornton’s Transactions practice, Kevin spent several years with CIBC Commercial Banking where he was responsible for structuring and monitoring various credit arrangements for large corporate and public sector clients throughout Atlantic Canada. In addition to his CPA designation, Kevin has also held the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation for the past 20 years.
