Merv has worked in the family business founded by his parents Neil and Rita since he was a little boy. He served as the Head Mechanic for over 40 years ensuring all trucks were ready to go each day until the past couple years when the transition process started from Generation 2 to Generation 3.  He was a co-President with his brothers prior to the transition. He still works in the business on special projects in the shop.  Merv has been a willing participant in the transition and succession process and although not a perfectly smooth ride it has been a great learning experience all around with the intent to create somewhat of a positive precedent for the future generations.  He has nine grandchildren in which the oldest two grandsons have started working part-time at the business. Merv and Laurie love spending time at their cabin on weekends.
