Mike Baker joined Leith Wheeler Investment Counsel in 2016 with over 20 years of experience as a trusted advisor to wealthy families, specializing in investment management. Most recently, Mike spent a decade with the Toronto office of a large, multinational investment advisory firm where in addition to his client responsibilities, he was a member of the Investment Strategy and International Investment committees. 

He holds the Chartered Financial Analyst and Family Enterprise Advisor (FEA) designations and is a member of CFA Society Toronto. 

In obtaining the FEA designation, Mike doubled down on his commitment to working in a multi-disciplinary setting, integrating his technical and investment management skillset with the expertise of his clients’ other professional advisors. With his combination of education and experience, he is uniquely able to help families successfully transition their wealth and stewardship to the rising generation.
