David has been a member of BDC Capital’s Growth and Transition Capital team in Edmonton for three years, focusing on helping Canadian companies to grow through providing capital for growth projects, management buyouts, strategic takeovers or competitor acquisitions and mergers.
BDC Capital provides either pure common equity capital (minority interest) or mezzanine (subordinate) financing at market interest rates, with deals ranging in size from $1 to $35 million. With more than $2 billion under management, BDC Capital takes a strategic, patient approach to nurture companies’ development over the long term.

Prior to joining BDC Capital, David spent five years with EY Calgary and a mid-market accounting firm, primarily in accounting advisory, transactions diligence, and assurance roles.

A graduate of the University of Alberta, David also holds a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA, CA) designation and is a level three CFA candidate.
