Tom acquired Smith Cameron Process Solutions in 2011 along with equity partner Krystal Growth Partners. Tom subsequently completed 6 strategic acquisitions over 8 years, proving an ability to grow through acquisition and organically, with a revenue CAGR of 13.3% (5%+ organically), while increasing EBITDA margin from 6.9% to 14.3%. Closing on July 2nd, 2021, this process culminated in a transaction that delivered a > double digit multiple on EBITDA, more than doubled the size of SCG’s business with a truly national footprint across Canada post-close, and hitched SCG to a $1b rev strategic partner with a substantial foundation … positioning SCG to aggressively grow from.
