Karen Killeen is a CPA, CA with broad private and public company experience.  While in public accounting, Karen worked with privately owned businesses and business owners in both a financial and advisory capacity.  She also worked on IPO’s and went on to serve as the CFO of a company she helped take public. During that time, she led that Company’s geographic and vertical expansion through the start-up of multiple operations in Canada, the United States, Mexico and Europe.  She also assisted in the going private transaction for that same company, some years later.  Following the privatization, Karen moved on to spend two years working as the senior financial leader of Enbridge Inc.’s new Power Transmission Business (“PTB”) platform, providing strategic and tactical financial leadership in support of development and operations.

Upon the PTB moving to Calgary, Karen spent 18 months as a senior business advisor to the Ministry of Economic Development, acting as a liaison between the Ontario government and Ontario-based companies. Her role encompassed providing program support in the areas of exports, manufacturing and employment, assisting companies with strategic and operational issues, facilitating business-to-business introductions, financing, as well as coordinating interactions with federal and municipal government bodies and educational institutions.

Currently, Karen has her own company, Springboard Management Services Inc., through which she provides business advisory services to companies in Toronto and the GTA, the majority of which are women-led companies.  She brings sound executive managerial advice with a strong financial foundation, advising on strategy to specific initiatives to owners, CEOs and their management teams.
