Guiding his senior management team, Ron Brown provides leadership and strategic direction for Shippers Supply ULC. Ron founded Shippers Supply in 1975 with only two employees in a 3,600 square foot warehouse which has grown to more than 200 employees, a 160,000 sq. ft. factory / distribution centre and 9 locations across Western Canada. 

Throughout his career Ron has invested time in developing solid community and corporate relationships. He is the recipient of regional and provincial awards such as the Pinnacle Award for Entrepreneurial Achievement, theEntrepreneur of the Year Award for Wholesale/Distribution, and the Alberta Centennial Medal presented by Ralph Klein, the late honourable premier of Alberta. The Alberta Centennial Medal award is the highest provincial honour bestowed upon Albertans for achievements benefiting their fellow citizens. Ron has also served as a mentor in the University of Alberta’s MBA program, and continues to give talks on entrepreneurial leadership and development throughout the business community. Ron is actively involved in community development with the Rotary Club of Edmonton, including the International Fellowship of Flying Rotarians. He is also a generous contributor to many local initiatives.
