Perry, as president of ESOP Builders Inc., has designed and implemented over 160 ESOPs – Employee Share Ownership Plans – for clients with a street value of over a billion dollars. Employee participation rates of 70% to 98% and all articulated client/owner goals are achieved using the highly functional ESOP Transformation Model©, created two decades ago in this consultancy and still evolving.
To fill the need for Canadian material on the subject, he wrote Employee Share Ownership Plans in Canada – How to Design and Implement an ESOP in Canada, published by John Wiley & Sons Canada, Ltd., followed in 2016 by ESOPS in Canada: How to Implement an Employee Share Ownership Plan to Grow and Exit Your Business with Your Legacy Intact, with Camille Jensen, available from FriesenPress Bookstore. Perry has also co-authored with Richard Jackim The $10 Trillion Opportunity – Canadian Edition, published by the Exit Planning Institute.
Perry was the driving force for the establishment of the ESOP Association CANADA and is one of its founders.
Perry is the president of Ownership Thinking Canada Inc., an ongoing program of business literacy and participation for the employees and leadership team to get employee-shareholders thinking – and doing – like owners, for a positive impact on the bottom line.
Perry has valued over a thousand companies in various industries for many purposes, particularly for ESOPs.
