Janie splits her practice between Calgary and Vancouver, and leads McMillan LLP’s Financial Services Group in Calgary. Janie acts for lenders and borrowers alike, and her practice ranges from domestic to cross-border and international syndicated and bilateral lending transactions, covering general corporate and more structure credits, such as ABL, acquisition and buy-out, convertible debt, leveraged cash flow, mezzanine and project financings. She has extensive prive equity-backed transactions, multi-jurisdictional and multi-tiered capital structures experience. Having held several senior positions across Canada, as well as in London, England and Sao Paul, Brazil, and established early on in her career a solid transactional foundation in corporate, commercial and M&A work, Janie brings to the table a culturally sensitive and solution-driven approach to negotiations and transaction management.
