Harry Watson is the Founder and President of Canadian Construction Materials Engineering and Testing Inc. (CCMET) In 1987, Harry saw an opportunity in the construction materials testing community serving the Metro Vancouver Area and launched Metro Testing Laboratories Ltd. With the increasing demand for materials and engineering services, coupled with additional services, the company expanded to become the Metro Group of Companies and subsequently rebranded in 2014 as the CCMET group.
With more than 40 years of experience in the industry, Harry has extensive knowledge in supervising and executing testing and inspection projects including field and laboratory testing for asphalt, concrete, aggregate and soils. He is a member of the Applied Science Technologists and Technicians of British Columbia, the Canadian Technical Asphalt Association, and a graduate of Armagh Royal School & Armagh Technical College.
Through his visionary leadership and a team of dedicated and hardworking employees, Harry has expanded CCMET’s operations and built a solid reputation within the construction industry. Consisting of 14 divisions and over 200 employees throughout BC and Alberta, CCMET has been involved with many major projects, including Vancouver and Edmonton International Airports, the Trans-Canada Highway and South Fraser Perimeter Road, Revelstoke and Forrest Kerr Hydroelectric Projects, and the Evergreen Rapid Transit Line.
