With a university degree and a few years of public sector experience, Vern bought a used computer from a classified ad, taught himself to code and created one of Canada’s largest municipal government software companies. With little more than a couple hundred dollars the company grew from one website to a suite of products currently implemented in local government networks across the country.

Since the company was acquired in 2021, Vern has split his time between his homes in Sandy Hook, Manitoba and Punta Gorda, Florida with his wife and Eddie the cat. As a serial entrepreneur Vern continues his pursuit for the next great idea while sharing his insight and experiences with others.

If Vern has proven anything it’s that anyone can focus on one thing for fifteen years and become an overnight success.
