Mike Williams is a born Albertan and graduated from
Sherwood Park’s Salisbury High in 1969.

In 1974, Mike and his dad, Hugh, began a very small endeavor laying asphalt, placing concrete and building garages. After just a few projects it seemed that asphalt held the greatest potential. Total volume for the year
was $60,000. In 1975 the name Sherwood Park Paving
Ltd was incorporated, and the business grew by adding more construction, people and equipment.

In 1986 Hugh retired and other partners entered.

Mike had the vision to be self-sufficient in aggregate and
when that occurred in 2008 it was time to step back.
The company now operates with a board of directors
and Mike is chairman of the board.
