Mackenzie is the Managing Partner and Co-Founder of Kalos LLP, a transactions and financial due diligence advisory firm headquartered in Calgary. She has executed 45+ deals amounting to billions of dollars in transaction value across various sectors including energy, financial, manufacturing, retail, healthcare, and technology. At Kalos, Mackenzie combines her professional expertise from top financial institutions with her passion to add value and be a trusted advisor to Alberta small business owners and the mid-market.
Mackenzie founded Kalos after her tenure on Scotiabank’s Investment Banking team where she advised on numerous M&A mandates, equity raises as well as high-yield debt transactions. Prior to Scotiabank, Mackenzie was a lead Transactions Advisory Manager at Ernst & Young LLP (“EY”) on their Financial Due Diligence team. Her exemplary client service, technical ability and leadership resulted in her being selected as the Manager to represent EY Canada at an international leadership conference.
Mackenzie is a designated Charted Professional Accountant (CPA) and completed her Chartered Accountant (CA) designation with EY after 3 years of articling on their audit team. Mackenzie holds a BComm. from the University of Saskatchewan and is a former competitive hockey player having represented Canada in international competition. She was named the top-student athlete for the Canada West Conference and a multi-year Academic All-Canadian and Canada West All-Star. Mackenzie serves as a Director and Chair of the Audit & Finance Committee for a non-profit organization and is actively involved in numerous other charitable organizations.
