“If you’ve ever wanted to try your hand at the family business, now is the time” was the phone call Sean and Erin Rayner received from their parents while working in Toronto, the fall of 2003. It was the beginning of a very quick succession that saw 4^th generation successor Sean Rayner, 22 at the time, at the helm of the family’s HVAC company. Sean was born and raised in Edmonton completing and worked summers at the ‘shop’. In 2002 he earned a Marketing diploma at NAIT’s School of Business and moved to Toronto after graduation to work in telecommunications sales. Since taking over the family’s HVAC business in 2005 he has grown the company to 3 locations and 3 divisions; VETS Sheet Metal, VETS Facility Services and VETS Electrical. He’s one of Avenue Edmonton’s Top 40 Under 40 (2011) and in 2013 he was an Ernst and Young Entrepreneur of the Year Award Finalist for the Prairie Region.  When not traveling between Edmonton, Kelowna and Surrey, Sean is spending time at home on the acreage with his wife Alison and son Rhys.
