Edmonton has been home for Erin Rayner nearly all her life; completing all her schooling here including earning a Comprehensive Music diploma from Grant MacEwan and an Honours diploma in Marketing from NAIT’s School of Business. After a few years in the film and television industry in Toronto, Erin returned to Edmonton to help create a business plan for the family’s 4^th generation construction services firm, VETS Sheet Metal. During the process of creating that plan alongside her brother Sean Rayner, Erin realized that she didn’t see a place for herself inside the family’s company at the time. Instead she went off to start ED Marketing & Communications, her own marketing and event planning firm. Sean Rayner continued as the active successor and full owner of the business. Over the ensuing decade, Erin’s marketing company did all of the marketing and events for the family business until the fall of 2015 when she approached Sean with an idea for the role of Marketing and Business Development Manager. Erin is a Rotarian, an award winning event planner and one of Avenue Edmonton’s Top 40 under 40 Alumni (2010). When  not increasing the female demographic in the construction industry, Erin enjoys surfing, cooking and walking her dog Charlie in Edmonton’s river valley.
