Chris is responsible for leadership of the investment group within AIOC. The investment group’s function includes evaluating projects presented to the AIOC and capacity grant requests, providing direction on promising projects to progress them to the approval stage, recommending projects and/or capacity grant applications for approval to the Investment Committee and the AIOC board, and leading the AIOC team on consummating approved transactions. 

Prior to the AIOC, Chris worked for nearly 14 years at Azimuth Capital Management (formerly KERN Partners), most recently as a Managing Director. Prior to Azimuth, he worked at AIMCo. in the Private Equity and Infrastructure groups. Chris holds a Bachelor of Commerce, with Distinction, from the University of Alberta School of Business, is a CFA Charter holder and holds the ICD.D designation. He is a member of the CFA Institute Standards of Practice Council, a global committee that helps to develop and promulgate all of the CFA Institute’s ethical standards and a Past President of the Calgary CFA Society.
