Matt joined SeaFort Capital as Vice President 2012. SeaFort is a private investment firm based in Halifax that partners with strong management teams to make direct control investments in established private businesses in all regions of Canada. Matt was previously Vice President of Investments at a publicly traded investment company and has worked in equity research at RBC Capital Markets and at Imperial Oil Limited in various roles including treasury, risk management and business development. Matt is a CFA charterholder and holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Wilfrid Laurier University and an MBA from St. Mary’s University. He currently serves on the Investment Advisory Committee at St. Mary’s University, the Finance and Investment Committee of the IWK Children’s Hospital Foundation and as an industry mentor for the CFA Institute Research Challenge.
