We know that some of you may still be apprehensive about attending an event in-person. So, we wanted to let you know that the safety of our community is our priority.

As leaders in the conference space, we’ve been keeping an eye on large events that have taken place as per regulations across Canada. It has been encouraging to see large sporting events and meetings happening nationwide, which have had no outbreaks. This shows that large events are safe when hosted properly, especially with a fully vaccinated audience.

In fact, research is showing that attending a large in-person business event is safer than many daily activities and does not increase COVID-19 cases. Furthermore, according to scientific modeling, in-person business meetings pose a near-zero (0.001%) risk of COVID-19 transmission with proper safety protocols in place.

We will take extra precautions, beyond those mandated by Public Health Authorities and The Westin Nova Scotian to ensure our event is exceeding the health and safety expectations set locally.  All policies/procedures will be clearly communicated to all registered participants well in advance of the event.  All attendees must be fully vaccinated to attend the Business Transitions Forum Conference.

Our expectations are that the onsite experience for BTF attendees will be similar to “normal” by the event date.  Please check this page 30 days prior to the conference for the specific onsite health and safety regulations.

While we are optimistic about where we are headed, we understand you may need some extra flexibility this year. If, at any time, it is determined that the event will not take place in April 2021 due to government-implemented health guidelines, you will automatically receive complimentary access to the next BTF event or the option for a full refund. We are also offering a flexible cancellation policy for in-person ticket holders.

Please check back periodically for updates to our health and safety protocols.
