Meghan Bell is a senior associate in our Litigation and Dispute Resolution group based in Edmonton, practicing extensively in corporate commercial matters and shareholder disputes. Meghan has represented an array of clients including shareholders, Directors and stakeholders from multiple industries in complex domestic and cross-jurisdictional claims. She has acted on a variety of matters ranging from contract disputes, shareholder and corporate disputes, professional negligence, fraud, wrongful dismissal and breach of fiduciary duties claims. She has also attended Court in relation to urgent freezing orders and Mareva Injunctions.

Meghan provides swift and insightful legal advice, informed with skill, judgment, strategy, creativity pragmatism and practicality. She has appeared before the Alberta Court of Appeal, the Alberta Court of King’s Bench, the British Columbia Supreme Court, as well as various administrative tribunals. She also has experience in private arbitrations. 

Meghan’s construction law practices has involved advising and advocating of behalf of clients on issues relating to professional liability, errors and omissions claims, construction defects, contractual disputes, risk management, contracts and insurance related issues.

Meghan currently sits on the Edmonton’s office Student Committee as a longstanding member, participating in the firm’s recruitment activities and providing support and mentorship to students as they start their legal careers.

She is also a member of Dentons Pro-bono Committee, assisting in steering the firm’s pro-bono initiatives  in the community, which includes being the firms’ ambassador for the Court of King’s Bench Amicus Program. She serves as a volunteer with both the Amicus Program and the Civil Claims Duty Counsel.

Meghan earned her JD from the University of Ottawa. She joined Dentons after commencing her legal career with a leading and prominent regional firm in Vancouver, British Columbia.
