Jim Crooks is a Corporate Finance Partner and Managing Director at PwC Canada working in the Vancouver office.

Jim has significant corporate finance experience, having worked on mergers and acquisitions, divestitures, financings, financial due diligence, pre-sale grooming, valuations, and strategic business planning. He has also worked in a variety of capacities with activities related to distressed situations.

Jim spent the first five years of his career working with a large professional services firm in its auditing and consulting practices. Upon completion of his MBA, he joined a large Canadian telecommunications company in its finance group. While there, Jim was responsible for evaluating potential acquisitions and joint ventures, negotiating major contracts, and structuring capital financing projects. Prior to joining PwC, he was also involved in an entrepreneurial technology venture.

Jim is a Chartered Accountant, Certified Public Accountant (Illinois) and holds an MBA from the Richard Ivey School of Business at the University of Western Ontario.
