David is one of the founders of Miller Titerle + Company LLP, ranked in 2016 by Canadian Lawyer as one of Canada’s top 10 corporate-commercial boutiques. Prior to founding Miller Titerle, he worked in the business law group of one of the nation’s largest full service law firms. David leads MT+Co’s mergers and acquisitions group, with a focus on mid-market, private mergers and acquisitions and other complex commercial transactions. In recent years, David’s team has acted for buyers and sellers on transactions with an aggregate transaction value of approximately $600 million. This transactional work has involved small, medium-sized and large transactions across a variety of sectors, including light and heavy industry, natural resources, infrastructure, technology, retail, hospitality and professional services.
Across all of these sectors and across all deal sizes, David brings a constructive and collaborative style to the negotiation process. His team focusses on the points that matter to the client and helps manage the “deal noise” around the points that don’t. David’s philosophy is that there is a practical solution to almost every issue that arises during a transaction, and strongly believes that his role as advisor is to always advance and never hinder the deal.
