Jean-Philippe, LLM, LLB/LLL is a corporate and tax law partner with PwC Law LLP.

He regularly provides corporate and tax law advice to Canadian and foreign clients, with a particular emphasis on corporate reorganizations, business structuring, acquisitions, divestitures and capital markets transactions. Jean-Philippe has provided corporate and tax law advice to a variety of public and private clients in the manufacturing, natural resources, real estate and technology sectors. He is a director of the Canadian Petroleum Tax Society and chairman of board of the Conseil de Dévelopement Économique de l’Alberta.

Prior to joining our firm, Jean-Philippe was a partner in the Calgary office of a national law firm and had prior to that completed a one-year judicial clerkship with the Tax Court of Canada. He holds an LLM (Tax Law) from HEC /Université of Montréal Law School and an LLB/LLL (civil & common law program) from the University of Ottawa. He has completed the Canadian Institute of Chartered Accountants’ In-Depth tax courses (Part I, II and III), the Canadian Bar Association’s Tax Law for Lawyers as well as Bloomberg BNA’s Introduction and Intermediate US International Tax courses.
